METAMORA, Ill. - Carroll University women's golf closed out its fall schedule at the 2025 College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Championship, held October 6–8 at Metamora Fields Golf Club. The Pioneers finished seventh overall with a three-round team score of 1,043 (342-349-352) in a tournament that featured challenging conditions, including rain and gusty winds during the final two rounds.

Carroll opened the championship with promise, posting its best team score on Day 1. Lynea Sekany led the way with a 78 (+7), placing inside the top 10 early and setting an aggressive tone for the team. The Pioneers looked poised to climb the leaderboard, but as the weather turned on Day 2, scoring became difficult across the field. Despite the conditions, Tessa Lawson stepped up with an 82 (+11) in Round 2, ultimately finishing as Carroll's top individual at 255 (+42) for 27th place. Sekany followed closely at 256 (+43), highlighted by her strong opening round and a solid finish on Day 3.

Senior Lauren Lostetter capped her final CCIW Championship appearance with a three-round total of 258 (+45), improving in the second round with an 83 before closing with an 87. Her steady play and leadership were key for Carroll throughout the fall season. Rounding out the lineup were Emily Brokl and Gabby Hauser, who tied at 274 (+61), and Grace Knilans, who posted 279 (+66).

The team's performance reflected both its potential and the challenges of the week. Carroll started strong but struggled to maintain momentum as conditions worsened, a common theme for many teams in the field. Illinois Wesleyan claimed the team title with a score of 901, followed by North Central (944) and Augustana (958).

Carroll now turns its attention to offseason training, aiming to build on the positives from the fall and return stronger for the spring portion of the schedule.
