KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's golf team jumped right back into the action this weekend by joining the Carthage Border Battle September 3-4. The Pioneers ended Friday with a 362, and finished Saturday with a 373. Carroll finished in 11^th place with a 735 total score.
 
Ashlyn Burdick was able to stay in the 80s all weekend, carding an 84 on Friday and finishing with an 89 on Saturday. Burdick tied for 32^nd place overall with a score of 173.
 
Caroline Kroeninger was the only Pio to improve her score from day one to day two, as she shaved off one stroke on Saturday with a round of 91. Kroeninger finished tied for 51^st with a 183.
 
Abby Van De Hei finished with the second lowest Pio round on Friday, but fell back a bit in the rankings on Saturday. Van De Hei shot an 89 on Friday and a 94 on Saturday, tying Kroeninger with a 183.
 
Emma Meiss (t-70^th) turned in a two-round score of 196, while Elsa Meiss (t-79^th) completed her weekend with a two-day score of 203.
 
Carroll has another short rest period, as the Pioneers travel down to Oak Brook, Illinois on Tuesday, September 7 for the Elmhurst University Invite, held at Oak Brook Golf Club.
