KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's golf team jumped right back into the action this weekend by joining the Carthage Border Battle September 3-4. The Pioneers ended Friday with a 362, and finished Saturday with a 373. Carroll finished in 11
th place with a 735 total score.
Ashlyn Burdick was able to stay in the 80s all weekend, carding an 84 on Friday and finishing with an 89 on Saturday. Burdick tied for 32
nd place overall with a score of 173.
Caroline Kroeninger was the only Pio to improve her score from day one to day two, as she shaved off one stroke on Saturday with a round of 91. Kroeninger finished tied for 51
st with a 183.
Abby Van De Hei finished with the second lowest Pio round on Friday, but fell back a bit in the rankings on Saturday. Van De Hei shot an 89 on Friday and a 94 on Saturday, tying Kroeninger with a 183.
Emma Meiss (t-70
th) turned in a two-round score of 196, while
Elsa Meiss (t-79
th) completed her weekend with a two-day score of 203.
Carroll has another short rest period, as the Pioneers travel down to Oak Brook, Illinois on Tuesday, September 7 for the Elmhurst University Invite, held at Oak Brook Golf Club.
