LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – The Carroll University men's golf team wrapped up the fall portion of their 2022-23 schedule at the UW-Stout Invite hosted at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin over the weekend. The Pioneers finished in 17
th place with a two-day score of 684, after shooting 350 on day one.
Evan Bridges finished with two sub-80 rounds to finish in 22
nd place with a 156 in 36 holes. Bridges rebounded after an up and down opening round of 79, where the senior finished with two double bogeys but three birdies. Bridges mellowed out on the final round with two birdies and no worse than bogey on any hole.
TJ Walton, the team's number two this weekend, finished second in the group and finished T-81
st with a 175. Walton's second round of 86 counter-balanced his first round of 89.
Devin Wilde rebounded from a challenging day one round of 92, finishing with an 84 on the final 18 holes to finish t-83
rd. Wilde sank three bridies in his second day with just one par.
Caden Combs finished just behind Wilde with a 177 and tied for 90
th. Combs started the weekend in the 90s but brought his score down to 87 on day two.
Max Bogenski went in as the no. 5 golfer for the Pioneers and finished tied for 103
rd with a 188.
Cameron Zeinert and
Drew Esveldt entered the tournament as individuals. Zeinert finished with an 87 on day two to put him in 95
th place with a 179. Esveldt finished 114
th with a 204.
