RACINE, Wis. — The Carroll University men's golf team displayed a very well-rounded performance in the early  strong spring season by finishing second out of 18 teams at its second invitational of the season, competing at Meadowbrook Country Club.

The Pioneers turned in another balanced performance on the par-71, 6,519-yard layout, navigating a challenging course that saw the field average just over 81 strokes per round. Carroll's consistency across the lineup proved key in securing the runner-up finish in a deep field.

Carroll was led by Fernando Cirajas (T4th, who carded a 73 (+2) to place fourth individually. Cirajas delivered one of the steadiest rounds of the day and set the tone at the top of the Pioneer lineup.

Following closely was Mathias Werring (T9th), who finished with a 75 (+4), while Widar Burman Voss (T12th) added a 77 (+6) to give Carroll three golfers inside the top 15 overall. Their performances highlighted the depth and balance of the Pioneer lineup. Carroll's team score was rounded out by Grant Naumann, who carded a 79 (+8), and Tyler Hoffmann, who finished with an 82 (+11).

Competing as individuals, Carroll also received strong rounds from Sigge Lundin, Jonah Keck, and Charlie Krall. Lundin posted a 77 (+6), Keck followed with a 79 (+8), and Krall rounded out the individual group with an 82 (+11), each gaining valuable competitive experience in a strong field.

The second-place finish marks another positive step for the Pioneers early in the spring season, as Carroll continues to build momentum heading into the remainder of its schedule. Their next opportunity comes at the Morningstar Masters, which begins this Sunday and concludes Monday at Morningstar Golf Club in Waukesha.
