ROCKFORD, Ill. — a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } The Carroll University men's golf team placed fifth out of nine teams at the CCIW Preview on Monday at Aldeen Golf Club, using the event as a key measuring stick against conference competition.

Carroll was led by Grant Naumann, who carded a 79 (+7) to pace the Pioneers and finish inside the top 20 individually. Widar Burman Voss followed closely with an 81 (+9), while Mathias Werring added an 82 (+10) as Carroll posted consistent scores throughout the lineup.

Carter Morrison turned in an 83 (+11), and Jonah Keck rounded out the team scoring with an 87 (+15) as the Pioneers navigated a challenging setup at Aldeen.

Competing as individuals, Fernando Cirajas recorded one of the low rounds of the day with a 77 (+5), while Tyler Hoffmann finished at 78 (+6). Sigge Lundin, also competing unattached, posted an 81 (+9).

The CCIW Preview provided Carroll with valuable insight into the conference field as the Pioneers continue preparations for the postseason portion of the spring schedule, which begins next week at on Wednesday at the CCIW Championship, hosted at Aldeen GC once again, a course they will now have much more familiarity with.
