KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's golf team dropped 20 strokes over a round to move up one spot and finish in 11
th place at the Carthage Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon. After shooting a 401 on day one, Carroll finished with a 381 for a combined 782 in the tournament. Carroll's 381 was the ninth lowest team total on Sunday.
Ashlyn Burdick led the Pioneers and finished tied for 33
rd with a 191 through two rounds. Burdick's round of 99 was the second best on the team after day one, but on day two she dropped down to a 92 to lead the Pios.
Emma Meiss was the most consistent for the Pios, finishing with back-to-back 97's to finish tied for 37
th with a 194.
Caroline Kroeninger also dropped a few strokes from day one to day two, coming into the press box with a 195 after rounds of 100 and 95.
Lauren Alioto dropped eight strokes on her Sunday scorecard to finish with a 202, and
Shaelynn Feuerstein turned in a 215 after 36 holes at Bristol Oaks.
