BRISTOL, Wis. – The Carroll University women's golf team began their 2022 campaign with a 36-hole, two day, Carthage Battle on the Border tournament. The Pioneers finished in 13
th place with a combined score of 767. The Pios shot a 385 on day one and recorded a 382 on day too.
Ashlyn Burdick led the team with the lowest 36-hole score of 171. Burdick led the team with an 84 on day one of the tournament, and followed that up with an 87. Burdick finished tied for 24
th in the player leader board.
Caroline Kroeninger tied for 41
st and recovered from a rough first day. After a 93 on day one, Kroeninger cut off eight strokes and led the team on day two with a round of 85 for a combined score of 178.
Shaelynn Feuerstein finished third on the team with a 193 after a 96 on day one and 97 on day two.
Morgan Kennedy scored a 225 with a 112 and 113 after two days, and
Isabella Massa wrapped up the team with a 36-hole score of 241.
The Pios will head North to Fond Du Lac next week Friday and Saturday for the Marian Fall Invitational at Rolling Meadows.
