WATERLOO, Iowa – The Carroll University women's bowling team finished up their first three-day tournament since October with a seventh-place finish at the Peacock Classic hosted by Upper Iowa University. The Pioneers finished 4-8 with a total pinfall of 10,433.
Carroll finished 2-2 after day one with four baker matches including a bye. The Pioneers fell to Lewis and Augustana, but defeated Illinois Wesleyan and Elmhurst. The Pioneers unfortunately dropped all five matches on Saturday in traditional scoring.
Hannah Bartlett led the Pios in scoring with an average of 166 per game. Bartlett had a day high 190, while Sydeney Raddeman rolled a 181 against Elmhurst.
On the final Day, the Pioneers lost a heartbreaking 3-4 bracket play match to Elmhurst in the first round. Carroll rebounded by winning eight of their final 10 games to defeat IWU and Elmhurst to take seventh. The Pioneers bowled a baker round of 203 in their win over Wesleyan.
The Bowling team will travel down to Lockport, Illinois for the Flyer classic February 10-12 for their next tournament.
