Women's Soccer Set To Compete In CCIW Conference Championship

WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's soccer team is preparing to compete in the CCIW Tournament Championship for the first time in school history. The game will be played this Saturday, November 4 at 6 PM. Carroll will be on the road as they head to North Central College. The Pioneers came into the tournament ranked no. three and Cardinals are ranked no. one.

The Pioneers currently sit at 11-5-3 coming into the game. Carroll beat no. six Illinois Wesleyan 3-0 in the first round of the tournament, following that up with a 2-0 victory over the no. two Wheaton Thunder in the conference semifinals. These two dominant performances have pushed the Pioneers to the conference tournament championship.
The Pioneer defense has not given up a goal in four straight games. The last goal given up by Carroll was on October 14 against North Central. The Pioneers dropped the match 0-2. First year head coach Taylor Clarke and his squad are ready for the challenge as he stated,

"This is a group that has been working so hard every day. We know that no one person's individual success comes before the team. The team has worked so hard to give us this opportunity."
