WAUKESHA, Wis. – Katrina Hardin of Carroll University women's lacrosse claims the women's Pioneer Athlete of the Week. Thomas Ward of Carroll University baseball are this week's male Pioneer Athlete of the Week Award for his performances last week.

Ward, a junior from Waukesha, Wisconsin, played in four games this past week helping Carroll go 3-1. Ward led all Pioneers with seven total hits in three games. He was able to bring in 10 RBIs throughout the week while hitting one 2b, one 3b, and 2 HR. Making this week even better for Ward, he hit a go-ahead solo home run in the bottom of the 8^th Inning to win the series against Wheaton College. Helping tie Carroll for first place in the CCIW.

Hardin, a senior from Dousman, Wisconsin, led the way for the Pioneers scoring six goals on the day and totaling six-points. Hardin was able to help grab three ground balls, cause 1 turnover, and field one draw control over the course of the game. Hardin's performance helped the Pioneers start the conference season off 1-0 and grab an early first-place lead in the CCIW.
