MORRIS, Ill. - The Carroll University men's golf team won the 12-team Joliet Junior College Spring Invitational (Melee In Morris) at Nettle Creek Country Club on Tuesday.
The team champion was determined by combining the top four individual scores from each school (in relation to par) on the challenging par 71, 6,562-yard course.
Evan Bridges fired a 1-over par 72 (+1) to earn medalist honors for Carroll, which finished +21 in the competition.
Bridges earned co-medalist honors for the second consecutive meet for the Pioneers, including Monday's Carthage Spring Invitational at Meadowbrook Country Club in Racine, Wis.
TJ Walton shot a 4-over par 75 (+4) to tie for fourth for Carroll.
Viggo Olsson followed with a 7-over par 78 (+7) to tie for 17th and
Mathias Werring added a 9-over par 80 (+9) to tie for 25th.
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete in the Bryant & Stratton Legends Classic at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms (Sheboygan, Wis.) on Thursday.
