KANSASVILLE, WIS – The Carroll University men's golf team competed at the Midwest Region Classic, held September 19-20 at Brighton Dale Links in Kansasville, Wisconsin. Despite challenging conditions, the Pioneers showcased determination in a competitive field, though the second day of play was canceled due to weather.
The Pioneers finished with a solid team performance, led by Carter Morrison, who finished with a score of 75 (+3) for the tournament. Morrison shot consistent rounds with an opening 38 on the front nine and a 37 on the back nine. Widar Burman Voss also contributed with an impressive total of 79 (+7), showing resilience throughout both rounds. Voss had a strong back nine performance with a score of 39, following a 40 on the front nine.
Carroll also saw solid performances from Jonah Keck (82, +10) and Tyler Hoffmann (83, +11), with both golfers grinding through their rounds and showing steady improvement despite the tough conditions. Fernando Cirajas also rounded out the Pioneers lineup with an 83 (+11), battling through some challenges but pushing through to complete the tournament.
With the second day's play called off, the team will now shift focus to their next competition, preparing for upcoming tournaments as they head into the final stretch of the fall season, with their next invite at Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva on September 28 and 29th.
