FINAL RESULTS
PEORIA, Ill. - Carroll's men's golf team finished tied for sixth out of the nine competing teams after Saturday's third and final round of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Championships. The Pioneers finished with a three-round score of 929 (+65), which was 18 strokes shy of the fifth-best team score.
Carroll was led by the play of
Evan Bridges, who earned a spot on the CCIW All-Conference team for the second consecutive year, shooting a three-round total of 222 (+6) to finish in a tie for 10th place among all individuals. His third-round score of 74 was one stroke better than Friday's round and one stroke shy of Thursday's opening round score. Bridges also took home the CCIW's RESPECT award, given as part of the All-Conference awards for each sport every year, with each school receiving one honoree.
Fellow Pio
TJ Walton was just four strokes shy of Bridges score, shooting a 226 (+10) to take 16th place in the tournament.
Viggo Olsson added a score of 236 for 32nd place, while
Garrett Stokelbusch and
Charlie Krall rounded out Carroll's team score, shooting 245 and 258, respectively.
