Carroll junior Ava Butt is the first College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women's Bowling Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2025-26 season, the league office announced Wednesday.
 
Butt, a native of Wautoma, Wis. and last season's CCIW Student-Athlete of the Year, helped the Pioneers qualify fourth heading into match play at the Warhawk Classic hosted by Wisconsin-Whitewater last weekend in Rockford, Ill. 
 
She placed third among individuals to earn all-tournament honors, averaging 189.6. She logged strikes at a 39 percent clip and ended the tournament with almost 78 percent overall fill on her frames.
