Pioneers Sweep CCIW Event, Go Undefeated Over Two Days

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Carroll women's bowling dominated the CCIW competition over the weekend, finishing first overall with a two-day pinfall of 6,219 and an unblemished 6-0 match record.

The Pioneers set the tone on Saturday in traditional play, rolling a day-one total of 3,544 pins to lead the standings. Carroll posted scores of 846, 896, 915, and 887 across four matches, sweeping all opponents to start 3-0.

On Sunday, Carroll carried its momentum into Baker play, adding 2,675 pins for the day to secure the top spot. The Pioneers recorded match scores of 875, 887, and 913 to close out the event with three more wins and a perfect 6-0 mark. Carroll also posted the highest Baker match average of the tournament at 177.7.

Marian finished second with 6,032 pins and a 5-1 record, followed by Augustana (5,725 pins) and Aurora (5,559 pins). Elmhurst (5,506 pins) and Carthage (5,292 pins) rounded out the top six, while Illinois Wesleyan placed seventh.

Carroll's consistency across both formats highlighted its depth and execution, as the Pioneers led the field in total pinfall and match average. The team will look to build on this strong performance as conference play continues.
