FINAL RESULTS

NORMAL, Ill. - Carroll's women's golf team traveled south over the weekend to take part in the two-day Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling, hosted by Illinois Wesleyan University. The tournament took place on the 5,823-yard, par-72 Ironwood Golf Course.

The Pioneers shot a first round 373 (+117), before improving Sunday's second-round score by three strokes with a team score of 370 (+114) on the final day of the event.

Maddie O'Brien led the Pios with a two-round score of 177 (+33), while Tessa Lawson and Lynea Sekany each finished with two-round scores of +44. Lauren Lostetter and Annika Wertheim rounded out Carroll's team score with a +46 and +70, respectively.

The Pioneers will be in action again on April 22 when they're scheduled to compete in the 'Melee In Morris.' That event will be held at Nettle Creek Country Club in Morris, Ill.
