FINAL RESULTS
JANESVILLE, Wis. - Competing at the 5,825-yard, par-72 Janesville Riverside Golf Club over the weekend, Carroll's women's golf team finished sixth out of the nine competing teams. The Pioneers two-round total score of 730 was 45 strokes shy of the fifth-best score, while finishing six better than UW-Platteville's seventh-place total.
Leading the way for the Pioneers in Friday's first round was
Maddie O'Brien, who shot a team-best 85 on that day, but was unable to compete in Saturday's final round.
Lauren Lostetter followed up a score of 89 on Friday with a team-best 84 (+12) on Saturday, which helped her finish tied for 26th among the 60 competing golfers.
Tessa Lawson and
Lynea Sekany tied for the second-best two-round total on the team of 91 (+19), which was tied for 38th in the event.. Annika Werthheim added a two-round score of 111 (+39) to round out Carroll's team score.
The Pioneers will play their final tournament of the 2024-25 school year on Monday when they'll compete in the Carthage Firebird Spring Invitational. That one-day event will tee off from the Club at Strawberry Creek in Kenosha, Wis., and will feature six teams, including four from the CCIW.
