WAUWATOSA, Wis. – Carroll University women's golf continued its strong start to the fall season on Saturday, earning a third-place team finish at the MSOE Invite at Currie Park Golf Course. The Pioneers carded a team score of 341 (+57), led by a third-place individual finish from Scarlett Lindgren.
Lindgren led the way for Carroll with an 80 (+9), finishing alone in third place. She finished just one stroke behind co-medalists Maggie Urich of MSOE and Emma Lee of Wheaton, who each carded rounds of 79 (+8).
Emily Brokl added another top-10 finish for the Pioneers, shooting an 86 (+15) to finish tied for eighth. Grace Knilans followed closely behind with an 87 (+16), placing 12th overall.
Tessa Lawson provided Carroll's fourth counting score, firing an 88 (+17) to finish tied for 13th. Lynea Sekany rounded out the Pioneers' lineup with a 92 (+21), earning a tie for 18th.
Carroll's four counting rounds of 80, 86, 87 and 88 combined for a team score of 341 (+57), placing the Pioneers third in the five-team field. MSOE captured the team title with a 330 (+46), while Lake Forest finished second at 337 (+53).
The Pioneers return to the course on Wednesday, September 16th for the Benedictine Invite at St. Andrews Golf Course.
