HUNTLEY, Ill. – The Carroll University women's golf team opened the 2026 fall season with a strong showing on Wednesday, finishing third among 14 teams at the Judson Invite held at Pinecrest Golf Course.
Carroll battled the oppressive heat and humidity, and started the season off on the right foot. The Pioneers posted a team score of +57, trailing only host Judson (+47) and Rock Valley (+52) in the one-day event.
Scarlett Lindgren led Carroll with a standout performance, carding a +8 to finish tied for fourth overall and earn the team's highest individual finish of the season-opening tournament.
Gabby Hauser and Tessa Lawson each turned in rounds of +16, placing tied for 22nd, while Lynea Sekany followed closely behind with a +17 and a tie for 28th. Emily Brokl rounded out the Pioneer scoring contingent, finishing tied for 38th at +22.
Carroll placed four golfers inside the top 30 individually as the Pioneers opened their fall campaign with one of the top team finishes in the tournament field.
The Pioneers return to action this weekend when they compete at the two-day Highland Classic, hosted by Augustana College on Saturday and Sunday at Highland Springs Golf Course in Rock Island, Illinois.
