Win over Marietta gives Coach Gradecki 100 Carroll victories

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 (Kissimmee, Fla.) – On Thursday, in a 2-0 victory over Marietta College, Amy Gradecki reached the 100-win plateau as head coach of the Carroll University softball team.
 
The Pioneers knocked off Husson College (9-2) and Marietta (2-0) to improve their winning streak to four games.
 
Carroll is currently on its annual Spring Break trip to Florida and boasts a record of 6-4.
 
In the game against Marietta, three Carroll pitchers combined for the 2-hit shutout victory. Hannah Miller started the game and went 3 1/3 innings and gave up just one hit. Caitlyn Adams gave up one hit in 1/3 innings and Shelby Sommer picked up the win after going 3 1/3 innings and surrendering zero hits.
 
Both Carroll runs came in the fifth inning of the pitchers' duel. Kara McCaughrean singled home a run while Megan Kohlmetz laid down a bases loaded sacrifice bunt.
