Box Score (St. Paul, Minn.) – The Carroll University women's lacrosse team lost a double overtime heartbreaker at University of Northwestern (MN), 11-10.
 
The Pioneers led 2-1 early in the first half but UNW scored four unanswered goals to hold a 5-2 advantage at 8:12. Both teams would find the back of the net one more time before the intermission, giving the home team a 6-3 lead at the break.
 
Carroll began the second half by outscoring Northwestern 5-2 to tie the score at 8-8. UNW responded with a pair of goals to lead by two in the closing minutes but Ariannah Ritter and Kailey Leahy netted goals for CU to tie the score and force overtime.
 
Neither team was able to score in the first overtime but Northwestern netted the game winner at 2:18 of the second OT period.
 
Ritter led Carroll with three goals while Donna January, Katie Majewski and Betty Koenig each scored a pair.
