(Waukesha, Wis.) – Lindsay Schultz has been the named head women's basketball coach at Carroll University, announced Joe Baker, Director of Athletics. Schultz replaces Kris Jacobsen, who resigned following her 18^th season at the helm.
 
"Our family is extremely excited about joining the Carroll community and to be back home in the state of Wisconsin. Carroll University's leadership, its growth in the areas of academics and athletics, and its innovative vision shows the University's commitment to providing student-athletes with an exceptional collegiate experience," said Schultz, the sixth women's basketball coach in Carroll history. "I am grateful for the opportunity to lead the women's basketball program during this exciting era as the program transitions into the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin."
 
Schultz has enjoyed a standout collegiate assistant coaching career since her time as a student-athlete at Stetson University (1 year) and eventually at Cardinal Stritch University (3 years).
 
After graduating from Cardinal Stritch in 2004, Schultz spent a season on the Wolves coaching staff before becoming the Director of Basketball Operations and Video Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (2006-2007). A year later she moved back to the bench and was the Panthers assistant coach for four seasons (2007-2010).
 
For the 2011-2012 season Schultz was an assistant coach at UW-Parkside then joined the staff at Bradley University from 2012 through the 2015-2016 season.

Lindsay also brings a lot of energy to our athletics program, and we are sure that she will be successful here at Carroll."
 
After spending the past 25 years in the Midwest Conference, Carroll moves in to the CCIW for the 2016-2017 season. CCIW members include Augustana College, Carthage College, Elmhurst College, Illinois Wesleyan University, Millikin University, North Central College, North Park University and Wheaton College.
