Box Score MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to the Milwaukee School of Engineering 19-3 in a nonconference game at Viets Field on Wednesday night.
It was the fifth consecutive nonconference loss for Carroll, which dropped to 2-6 overall.
The Pioneers were outscored 7-1 in the decisive first half, including a decisive 4-1 margin in the opening quarter.
Carroll scored the first goal of the contest on an unassisted shot by freshman midfielder
Michael Peters (Chicago, Ill.) with 12:14 remaining in the first quarter but couldn't maintain the momentum and yielded four unanswered goals over the course of a key six-minute stretch.
Sophomore midfielder
Christopher Bechtel (Sammamish, Wash.) and sophomore attackman
Jeff Schultz (Franklin, Wis.) each added a goal for Carroll, which was outshot 63-15.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Abe Escrada (Sammamish, Wash.) registered 15 saves in playing 51 minutes.
Sophomore attackman Collin Fischer scored four goals to lead MSOE, which won its third straight to improve to 7-1 overall.
