Box Score ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Carroll University men's lacrosse team lost to Augustana College 24-2 in a College Conference of Illinois-Wisconsin game at Thorson-Lucken Field on Friday afternoon.
Carroll dropped to 0-4 in the conference standings and 0-13 overall.
The Pioneers were outscored 13-0 in the first half, including five unanswered goals in the opening quarter.
Junior attackman Jeff Schultz (Franklin, Wis.) scored off an assist from senior attackman Paul Kerchberger (Deer Park, Ill.) in the third quarter for Carroll, which was outshot 65-18 - including a 44-7 shot-on-goal margin.
The Pioneers' other goal came in the fourth quarter as Kerchberger scored off an assist from freshman midfielder Danny McGee (Rockford, Ill.).
Junior goalkeeper Abe Escarda (Sammamish, Wash.) registered 20 saves in playing the entire 60 minutes for Carroll.
Freshman attackman Travis Hastings finished with a game-high five goals and four assists to lead Augustana, which improved to 3-1 in conference and 8-7 overall.
