WHITEWATER, Wis. -
Josie Eberle, a senior on the Carroll University women's track and field team, finished fourth with 3,482 points in the women's heptathlon at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Invitational & Multi Meet (held at the Rex Foster Track Complex) to conclude the sunny, cool, two-day, outdoor competition Saturday afternoon.
Eberle was third in the 800-meter run (2:43.87), fourth in long jump (4.98m or 16-4.25), fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (16.47), fifth in the 200 (28.79), fifth in javelin (23.71m or 77-9), tied for seventh in high jump (1.33m or 4-4.25) and was ninth in shot put (7.60m or 24-11.25).
Abby Alberts took seventh with 2,841 points for the Pioneers, placing third in javelin (27.74m or 91-0); fifth in long jump (4.91m or 16-1.5) sixth in the 100 hurdles (19.63), tying for fourth in high jump (1.48m or 4-10.25), seventh in shot put (8.79m or 28-10.25), ninth in the 200 (31.94) and ninth in the 800 (3:30.69).
Olivia Dunkleberger was eighth with 2,721 points, finishing sixth in the 800 (3:03.85), sixth in long jump (4.68m or 15-4.25), seventh in the 200 (29.99), eighth in the 100 hurdles (20.33), eighth in shot put (8.54m or 28-0.25), ninth in high jump (1.30m or 4-3.25) and ninth in javelin (21.45m or 70-4).
