LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Carroll University track & field teams turned in a series of strong individual performances at the UW-La Crosse Outdoor Meet, using the competition as one of their final tune-ups ahead of a return trip to the same facility for the NCAA Championships in two weeks.
On the track, Carroll saw impressive results in the 400 meters. Freshman Brian Smith delivered a standout performance, breaking the school record with a time of 47.94. On the women's side, Rianna Schultz posted a lifetime personal best of 58.54, while Hana Smith also recorded a lifetime personal best of 59.01, highlighting a strong showing for the Pioneers in the event.
In the field events, freshman Carlos Cadet continued his strong season with a mark of 13.97 meters in the triple jump, while Addy Weber matched her lifetime best in the long jump with a leap of 5.36 meters.
Carroll's throws group also delivered solid performances, led by Grace Pequignot, who recorded a throw of 46.07 meters in the hammer throw, and Brady Reusser, who posted a mark of 50.03 meters in the discus.
In the jumps, Katelyn Duber added to the Pioneers' success with a mark of 11.05 meters in the triple jump, contributing to a well-rounded effort across event groups.
With the NCAA Championships set to take place back at UW-La Crosse in two weeks, the meet provided a valuable opportunity for the Pioneers to fine-tune performances and build momentum heading into the national stage.
