Seven Track & Field Pioneers Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

WAUKESHA, Wis. — The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its annual Academic All-District® Team, with Carroll University track & field earning seven honorees in recognition of their excellence both on the track and in the classroom.

Representing the Pioneers were sophomores Clare Whitney (Milwaukee, Wis.), Rianna Schultz (New London, Wis.), Tirzah Losos (Elkhorn, Wis.), and Hana Smith (Franklin, Wis.), along with juniors Grace Pequignot (Huntsville, Ohio), Katelyn Duber (Harvard, Ill.), and Ethan Zilisch (Amherst, Wis.). All seven met CSC criteria with top-50 rankings in the NCAA North Region while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Schultz earned recognition behind her performance in the 400 meters, ranking 28th in the North Region with a time of 58.54. Smith followed closely with a 34th-place regional ranking in the same event at 59.01, highlighting the strength of Carroll's sprint group.

Losos secured her selection with regional marks in both hurdle events, ranking 39th in the 100-meter hurdles (15.63) and 36th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:07.63). Whitney added to the Pioneers' field event success with a 33rd-place regional ranking in the high jump at 1.55 meters.

On the men's side, Zilisch earned his honor after posting a 49th-place regional mark in the long jump at 6.60 meters.

Duber led the group with one of the top regional marks, ranking 14th in the triple jump at 11.35 meters. The junior secured her second consecutive Academic All-District selection, continuing to demonstrate excellence both in competition and in the classroom.

Pequignot rounded out the group with a 32nd-place regional ranking in the hammer throw at 46.40 meters, earning recognition for her continued contributions to the program.

The CSC Academic All-District® Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both athletically and academically. To be eligible, track & field student-athletes must be at least a sophomore, maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA, and rank within the top 50 in the NCAA regional rankings in an individual event. Honorees advance to the ballot for CSC Academic All-America® consideration, with national selections announced later this summer.

Carroll's selections reflect the continued commitment of its track & field program to developing well-rounded student-athletes who achieve success both in competition and in the classroom.
