EAU CLARIE, Wis. – The Carroll University men's golf team completed a two-round tournament on Monday afternoon. The Pioneers finished the UW-Eau Claire Hosted Frank Wigglesworth Invite in tenth place with a two-round score of 704. Carroll shot a 355 on day one and followed it up with a 349 on day two.
Evan Bridges finished consistently in the low 80's, grabbing a top 20 finish in the invite, tying for 18
th place. Bridges' 81 on day one and 82 no day two combined for a 163 at 19 over par. This was Bridges' second top-20 finish of the season.
Erik Hopp didn't transition the best into day two after carding an 84 on day one. The senior finished day two with a 91 and a combined score of 175, tying for 39
th place.
Adam Nuxoll tied Hopp with a 175. Nuxoll finished day one with an 89 and day two with an 86.
Cameron Zeinert in his first tournament of the season finished with a score of 192 through 36 holes. Zeinert struggled on day one with a 192 but came back to finish with a round of 90 on the final day of the tournament.
Cade Gumieny made his first appearance as well, carding a 198 through two rounds (101, 97).
Carroll will return to a familiar course on Monday, September 27 for the Judson Fall Invite. The Pioneers will tee off at Randall Oaks Golf Course, where the Carthage Fall Classic was held two-weeks ago.
