DYER, Indiana - The Carroll University women's bowling team placed 15th in the 17-team Valparaiso Classic at Stardust Bowl II over the weekend.
Carroll posted a 3-9 overall record in the three-day competition, claiming two victories in the baker format versus Dominican University (687-607) and Baldwin Wallace University (719-607). The Pioneers added a traditional-scoring victory over Dominican (745-540).
Carroll generated a combined total of 9,917 in the competition (including 3,745 in baker and 3,844 traditional), with a 152.6 average per game.
Ava Butt finished 14th overall with a five-game combined total of 938, highlighted by a second-game individual high of 208.
Kelsey Alvis followed in 57th (649),
Hannah Bartlett took 62nd (624),
Emilie Glosemeyer was 63rd (606) and
Kayleigh Kovacic was 87th (442) to round out the top five individuals.
Maryville University claimed the team title, finishing with a 10-2 record.
