The Pioneers head into the meet projected to finish tied for sixth according to the pre-meet coaches poll, voted on by head coaches of each of the nine member schools. The Pioneers have two athletes ranked first in the conference entering the meet, including 2022 Women's Shot Put Champion Vanessa Uitenbroek.
