KENOSHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's indoor track and field team came away with a fourth place finish after putting up 106 team points at the Tadd Metzger Invitational hosted on campus of Carthage College this weekend. On Friday,
Mary Quinn re-broke her school record and PR in the women's pentathlon event.
In the multi's, Quinn's record now sits at 2,991 points after she finished first in the event. Quinn won events in the 55-meter hurdles and the high jump, and finished top five the shot put, long jump, and 800-meter.
Savannah Krzykowski recorded a new PR in the pentathlon as well.
In track events, Quinn raced on Saturday in the 55-meter hurdles open event, and came away with a third place finish, followed by
Miranda Cogan's seventh-place finish.
Jessica Mueller and
Taylor Olund added five team points in the 55-meter dash, and Olund collected four more points in the 200-meter dash as well.
Victoria Watson, Anika Tollerud, and
Natalie Dresang all combined for 16 points across the 400 meters and 800 meters.
Elizabeth Reddeman highlighted the long distance running groups, finishing second in the mile run with a time of 5:21.76.
Alison Klostermann,
Natalie Parent,
Gabrielle Holbrook and
Ailee Hogan added 11 points in the 3000 meters race.
In field events, Mueller finished first in the pole vault with a season-high 3.44 meter jump.
Vanessa Uitenbroek finished first in the shot put with a toss of 13.86 meters, followed by
Maria Falk in third, and
Kaitlyn Brucci in eighth. Uitenbroek and Falk finished fifth and seventh, respectively in the weight throw event.
Sydney Halversen collected five team points in the high jump.
The Pioneers head back up North to Ripon College next week Saturday Feb. 11.
