BELOIT, Wis. – The Carroll University women's outdoor track and field team finished the Beloit Relays in third place with 101 team points.
Elizabeth Reddeman won her race while
Vanessa Uitenbroek swept her events.
In track events, Reddeman won the 5K with a time of 19:35.69 and was over two minutes faster than the second-place finish.
Isabel Szablewski finished in the top eight in the 5K to earn team points as well.
Rebekah Buboltz and
Natalie Parent earned points in the 1500m, while
Natalie Dresang and
Chiri Watanabe collected nine points in the 800m. In sprinting events,
Victoria Watson came away with an eighth-place finish in the 400m dash. The 4x100 relay team of
Jessica Mueller, Kaitlyn Gregory,
Sydney Halversen, and
Taylor Olund finished fifth, and the 4x400 team of Watson, Buboltz, Dresang, and
Ani Tollerud finished fourth.
In field events, Uitenbroek swept her three events for the second week in a row. Uitenbroek launched a new PR in the hammer throw with a distance of 48.86m. Uitenbroek improved season distances in the discus and shot put as well. Outside of Uitenbroek, women throwers combined for 22 more points for the team. Team points were led by
Cate Gudaitis,
Maria Falk, and
Kaitlyn Brucci in shot put, discus, and hammer. Mueller hit 3.30m on her pole vault attempts, after coming off a lifetime PR the weekend before. Halversen reached 1.48m in the high jump and finished sixth place to score points for the Pioneers.
Carroll will face tough challengers at Wheaton next weekend, April 22.
