ROCHESTER, NY – Vanessa Uitenbroek of Carroll University women's outdoor track and field completed her busy weekend on Saturday at the 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in Rochester, New York. Uitenbroek competed in the women's hammer throw competition, finishing in 18^th.
 
Uitenbroek, a junior from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, received three throws in the first flight and landed her second attempt with a distance of 50.31m. It took a 54.51m throw to make the finals of the event, but Uitenbroek improved on her ranking coming into the meet by finishing 18^th after starting ranked 20^th.
