WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Carroll University women's track and field team completed its regular season after the completion of the 2023 CCIW Track and Field Championships. The Pioneers finished in eighth scoring 46 points.
Vanessa Uitenbroek was crowned the conference champion in the discus with a throw of 46.74 meters in the third round.
Cate Gudaitis captured all-conference honors as well, earning two additional team points with Uitenbroek.
Uitenbroek,
Maria Falk, and
Kaitlyn Brucci collected 11 team points with a second, seventh, and eighth place finish respectively in the shot put. Brucci reached 12.34 meters for a lifetime PR outdoors.
In mutli events,
Savannah Krzykowski finished the weekend with a personal best in the javelin throw to finish ninth in her first ever heptathlon. Krzykowski finished with 2,555 points.
On the track,
Elizabeth Reddeman PR'd in the 1500 but missed all-conference honors by less than a second.
Groups of Pioneers will continue to compete this spring in hopes of increasing their marks towards school records and exceeding marks towards national qualification.
