WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Carroll University men's track and field team placed fourth at the seven-team Karl Schlender Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Kachel Field House on Saturday.
Jimmy Hinkley won the weight throw with a distance of 55-6.25 to help lead Carroll, which generated 55 points in the challenging indoor competition.
Nathan Raatz also won an event, finishing first in the 600-meters with a time of 1:22.65.
Other Carroll individuals finishing in the top eight were:
Bailey Olson, fourth in the 3K (9:59.85);
Will Campbell, fourth in the weight throw (50-6.75) and sixth in the shot put (43-11.75);
Ethan Zilisch, fourth in the high jump (5-8.75);
Spencer Kirsteatter, fourth in the mile (4:27.71);
Gabe Smith, fifth in the weight throw (50-4);
Brady Reusser, fifth in the shot put (44-7) and eighth in the weight throw (46-0.75). Carroll's Distance Medley Relay team (consisting of Olson,
Sawyer Caves,
Ethan Weber and
Austin Sanderfoot) placed sixth with a time of 11:04.52.
