BETTENDORF, Iowa - The Carroll University women's bowling team placed fourth at this weekend's six-team Viking Classic at TBK Family Center (hosted by Augustana College).

The Pioneers finished with a 2-3 overall record in the Saturday's traditional matches, amassing 4,190 total pins with a 167.60 per game average.

Carroll placed all five of its individuals within the top 25 of the 40-bowler field, generating team highs in its third (917) and fifth (976) matches, respectively.

Ava Butt, a freshman from Wautoma, Wis., finished sixth with a five-game combined total of 991, averaging 198.20 per game including a third-game high of 256.

Kelsey Aviles, a freshman from Antioch, Ill., followed in 15th place with an 871 for the Pioneers, averaging 174.20 per game with a fifth-game high 246.

Emilie Glosemeyer, a sophomore from Eagle, Wis., contributed an 18th-place finish with an 807, averaging 161.40 per game with a second-game high 183.

Hannah Bartlett, a sophomore from Aurora, Ill., was 19th with an 802 for Carroll, averaging 160.40 per game with a first-game high 179.

Kayleigh Kovacic, a sophomore from Green Bay, Wis., added a 23rd-place finish with a 719, averaging 143.80 per game with a fifth-game high 202.

Carroll is scheduled to compete in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin Invitational (March 2-3) at Bloomington, Ill.
