Box Score HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Carroll University men's tennis team kicked off its 2024 Spring Break trip with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Greenville University in a non-conference match on Monday afternoon.
 
It was the first of three scheduled non-conference duals at Hilton Head Resort for Carroll, which won its third straight to improve to 7-2 overall with the confidence-building effort.

The Pioneers have won their last two matches by a one-point margin, the first coming in a 5-4 home-court victory over Milwaukee School of Engineering at the Princeton Club on Feb. 23.

Ryan LaBelle, a sophomore from Mukwonago, Wis., claimed a critical three-set victory at No. 4 singles to lead Carroll, outlasting Greenville's Luke Motsinger 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-3). 

Daniel Ezcurra contributed a straight-set victory at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-2) and Jack McCaffery won in straight sets at No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-0).

Ezcurra and Adrian Gomez claimed a victory at No. 1 doubles (8-3). LaBelle teamed up with sibling Andrew LaBelle for a key win at No. 2 doubles (8-6).

Carroll is next in action versus The College of Wooster on Tuesday at 10 a.m. (EST).
