Pioneers Remain Undefeated with Dominant Road Victory

Box Score FOND DU LAC, Wis. - Carroll University Men's Lacrosse continued their unbeaten start to the 2025 season, defeating Marian University by a score of 15-2 on Saturday afternoon. The Pios scored 15 unanswered goals in the dominant victory, while also holding a 47-16 advantage in shot attempts.

Marian (0-1) wasted no time getting on the board, as they found the back of the net on the first attack just 17 seconds into the contest. Less than six minutes later, the Pios responded, as Declan McMahon scored his first goal of the day, assisted by Brady Conwell. Carroll rattled off seven more goals before halftime, Caden Dohm, Luke BridgesBrady Mollsen, and Zachary Szuba all scoring one goal and Conwell recording a first half hat trick. Carroll took 26 shots to just four from the Sabres, holding an 8-1 lead at the break.

The second half was much of the same story, as Carroll scored the next seven goals of the contest, with Jake Kopocis tallying an unassisted goal with under two minutes remaining to give the Pioneers a 15-1 lead. With seven seconds remaining, Marian scored a desperation shot to add the bookend goal, but Carroll left Smith Field victorious, continuing their program best 3-0 start.

Carroll Goal Keeper Jake Gehl started the game between the pipes, playing 53:10 and saving five shots to earn the win. Turner Postolka closed the game out, allowing one goal in the final 6:50. His counterpart, Jackson Sweeney, made 14 saves for Marian, while playing all but eight seconds of the game.

The Pioneers will try to continue their unblemished season on Wednesday March 5, when they return to the friendly confines of Schneider Stadium to host MSOE. That game will begin at 7 p.m..
