The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC), were announced Tuesday morning, recognizing the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Carroll saw three student-athletes earn the distinction, with
Adrian Gomez,
Andrew LaBelle and
Ryan LaBelle doing the honors for the Pios.
Gomez, who was also named First Team All-Conference for a second consecutive season, is a senior Psychology major from Logrono, Spain. He finished this year with a 14-3 record in singles play, which is tied for the 10th-most single season victories in program history, while his singles winning percentage of .824 ranks fifth all-time. In doubles play, Gomez teamed up with fellow Spaniard
Daniel Ezcurra to compile a record of 13-5. That winning percentage of .722 ranks fifth in program history for a single season.
A Business Administration major from Mukwonago, Wis.,
Andrew LaBelle went 11-8 in singles play this year, while adding an 8-9 mark in doubles. Andrew will enter his senior season with the Pioneers ranking eighth in program history for career singles victories (34), with a legitimate opportunity to move into third place on that list at the end of his career. He also ranks 10th in program history for all-time victories (singles and doubles combined), with 62.
Ryan LaBelle is an Exercise Science major from Mukwonago. He finished the 2024-25 season with a singles record of 9-7, while going 6-8 in doubles play. Ryan's 27 career singles victories are tied for 10th in program history.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Voting for the Academic All-America M/W Tennis teams begins May 13, at Noon (ET) and closes Tuesday, May 20, at 11:59 PM (ET).
