NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse oaches Association (IWLCA) released it's annual NCAA Division-III All-Region team Friday afternoon, with Carroll Senior
Grace Tumilty serving as one of the 256 student-athletes to earn the recognition, across eight different regions. A native of Willowbrook, Ill., Tumilty was selected to the Great Lakes Region Second Team, making her one of just two players from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) to receive the distinction.
This marks the second consecutive All-Region nod for Tumilty, after earning Second Team honors last season. She just completed a season in which she led the Pioneers to a 13-4 record, which is just one win shy of the program's single season record. She was a vital reason that Carroll won both the CCIW regular season and Tournament championships, while advancing to the NCAA Division-III Tournament for the second time in program history.
A two-time First Team All-Conference performer, and an Honorable Mention All-America selection this year by USA Lacrosse Magazine, Tumilty is the anchor of a defense that led the CCIW in Goals Against Average (6.71). She led the league in ground balls with 77, which ranks fifth in program history, while also leading the league in caused turnovers with 67, which ranks second in program history, just seven shy of the single season school record
All student-athletes selected to the IWLCA All-Region teams are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2025 IWLCA Division-III All-American teams on May 23.
