WAUKESHA, Wis. - Carroll University Sophomore
Sierra Langkamp has received this year's prestigious College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Elite 26 Award for Women's Lacrosse, presented to the student-athlete who excels academically and athletically at the conference level in each of the CCIW's 26 sponsored sports. To be eligible for the Elite 26 Award, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore and in at least their second season of competition with their current team and playing in the final game of the conference tournament. She received the award prior to Saturday's CCIW Tournament Championship Game, which was hosted by the top-seeded Pioneers.
A Defender from Waukesha, Wis., Langkamp attended Waukesha South High School. She appeared in 13 games for the CCIW Champion Pioneers this season, while starting nine. Langkamp has forced four turnovers on the year, in addition to picking up five ground balls.
