NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) released its annual Academic Honor Squads for the 2025 season Wednesday afternoon, with Carroll University once again earning a spot on the list. The Pioneers were part of 383 schools across NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA to receive the accolade. To qualify for this prestigious honor, a team must have posted a Grade Point Average of 3.2 or higher for the academic year. As part of the Academic Team, the IWLCA also announced its annual Academic Honor Roll, with seven Carroll players earning that distinction.
Earning a spot on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll includes seniors
Grace Brockman and
Grace Tumilty, and juniors
Rebecca Hallman,
Samantha Hurd,
Emma Kimps,
Teah Rupp, and
Sierra Skack. To be eligible for this honor, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The IWLCA honored 1,286 student-athletes from 201 different institutions with a spot on the Academic Honor Roll.
"I am always proud that our team takes their academics seriously," Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Michael Hodge said. "We have been an Academic Honor Squad every year the award has been given, and it's a reminder that our student-athletes care about their education while also playing lacrosse at a high level."
Carroll finished the 2025 season with a 13-4 overall record, which is just one win shy of last year's school record of 14 wins in a season. This year's mark includes the first perfect conference season (5-0) in program history, which gave the Pios their first-ever outright CCIW regular season championship, and second overall. The Pioneers also won the CCIW Tournament for the first time in program history, earning a bid to the NCAA Division-III Tournament for the second time.
