Men's Tennis' Ulrik Gellein and Women's Soccer's Carmella Nowak were named 'Pio Of The Week' for the week ending on 9/14.

Ulrik Gellein, hailing from Norway, finished his week going 4-1 across three matches for the Pioneers. Against Concordia University Wisconsin, Gellein clinched the Pioneer victory in an emphatic 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 victory at three singles. Gellein also went 2-0 against UW-Lacrosse with a 7-5 victory at one doubles, and a 3-6, 6-2, 10-5 victory at three singles. Ulrik capped off his week with a 6-2, 7-5 victory at two singles over Edgewood.

Carmella Nowak, a Waukesha native, had a dominant week for the Pioneers. In a thrilling game against UW-Whitewater, Nowak got the scoring going early as she buried a PK in the 12^th minute to give the Pios a 1-0 lead. This would be crucial as the Pios narrowly won 3-2 against the visiting Warhawks. Then again, against Marian, the senior made another crucial PK in the 3^rd minute, as the Pios forced a 1-1 tie.
