KENOSHA, Wis. - Carroll University Men's Tennis had a strong showing at the CCIW Fall Invitational in Kenosha, Wisconsin, hosted by Carthage College. Competing against five other conference schools, the team delivered several standout performances across both singles and doubles play.
Andrew LaBelle led the way in singles, advancing to the final of the top flight. He earned impressive wins over North Central's Andres Valdes Gonzalez and Carthage's Diego Silva before falling to the tournament's top seed, Francisco Silveira, in a competitive championship match. His run highlighted Carroll's growing strength at the top of the lineup.
Jay Kubota and Brayden Richardson also had solid weekends, each securing fifth place in their respective singles brackets. Their consistency and grit added depth to Carroll's overall performance and showed promise for the season ahead.
In doubles, Ryan LaBelle and David Eman teamed up in the No. 2 flight and earned a fourth-place finish, highlighted by a key win over Wheaton College. Their chemistry and strategic play were evident throughout the weekend.
The team will return to action on Tuesday, September 9, for its home opener against Concordia Wisconsin.
