Carroll junior Ava Butt has earned another CCIW Women's Bowling Player of the Week honor after delivering a standout performance at the 2026 Viking Classic, where she finished as the top individual bowler in the tournament field.
The Wautoma, Wis. native led all competitors with a five-game total of 1,006 pins, posting a 201.2 average to claim the No. 1 spot in the individual standings. Butt was the only bowler in the field to eclipse the 1,000-pin mark over five games, showcasing consistency and control throughout the event.
Butt's performance was highlighted by multiple high games during traditional play, anchoring Carroll's lineup and setting the tone across qualifying. Her ability to stay composed through lane transitions and maintain scoring pace separated her from a deep and competitive field.
Behind Butt's effort, Carroll finished fifth overall at the Viking Classic with a combined 8,191 pinfall across traditional and baker formats, competing against several nationally recognized programs.
This marks another CCIW Player of the Week award for Butt during the 2025-26 season, continuing a stretch of elite individual performances at the conference and regional level.
The Pioneers return to action February 21st at the Quad Cup Championship in Dekalb, Ill., carrying momentum from Butt's latest award-winning performance.
