DEKALB, Ill. - Carroll women's bowling competed in a quad meet over the weekend that ultimately turned into a two-team event, with the Pioneers facing Augustana as the only other fully competing squad.
After MSOE and Lake County College arrived with incomplete lineups, Carroll and Augustana were the lone teams to record official scores. The two teams bowled one another during qualifying, meeting head-to-head in the third round of traditional play.
The day concluded with a Baker format championship, as Carroll and Augustana agreed to a five-game total pinfall match to determine the winner. The teams traded momentum throughout the series and were tied after four games before the Pioneers pulled away in the fifth and final game.
Carroll closed out the match with an 898–878 victory, securing the championship in the Baker finale and finishing the day with a head-to-head win over Augustana.
Carroll's next meet comes at the 2nd CCIW Conference Invite next weekend.
