Carroll Finishes Runner-Up at 2026 CCIW Meet 2, Finishes as Co-CCIW Regular Season Champion

DEKALB, Ill. - Carroll University delivered a strong, balanced weekend across Baker and Traditional play to earn a second-place finish at the 2026 CCIW Meet 2, held February 28–March 1. Carroll closed the tournament with 6,403 total pins and a 10–2 overall match record across the two CCIW meets, finishing just behind Marian University (Wis.) in a tightly contested eight-team field at this meet.

The Pioneers set the tone during Saturday's Baker matches, posting three sets of 922 or higher, highlighted by a 956 in Baker Match 2. Carroll remained near the top of the standings throughout the Baker portion, showcasing consistency and depth across the lineup.

Sunday's Traditional block kept Carroll firmly in title contention. The Pioneers rolled team totals of 946, 850, and 941, maintaining pressure on the top spot through the final frames of the tournament.

Individually, Miley Brooks led the way for Carroll with a 605 series (203-199-203), while multiple bowlers contributed key games to sustain Carroll's momentum throughout the day.

Carroll finished runner-up with 6,403 total pins, followed closely by Carthage in third place. The Pioneers' performance across both formats underscored their depth and consistency as they also locked up Co-Conference regular season champions which qualifies them for the CCIW championship. 

Carroll's second-place showing at CCIW Meet 2 positions the Pioneers well moving forward, with strong team scoring and individual performances providing momentum heading into the next stretch of the season, as they have been consistently posting great results throughout the season.

Their next meet comes next weekend as they take part in the Music City Classic in Smyrna, TN over March 6-8.
