Senior Andrew LaBelle delivered a complete performance for Carroll men's tennis last week, contributing in both singles and doubles during the Pioneers' 5–2 victory over UW–Stevens Point.
LaBelle anchored the lineup at No. 1 singles, earning a decisive straight-set win over Conner Kryscio, 6–0, 6–2. His dominant showing at the top of the lineup helped Carroll secure five singles victories and clinch the overall match.
In doubles play, LaBelle teamed with Ryan LaBelle at No. 2 doubles and picked up Carroll's lone doubles win, defeating Jacob Stinski and Conner Kryscio, 6–3. A senior leader, LaBelle's contributions across both formats underscored his consistency, versatility, and importance to the Pioneers as the spring season continues.
Katelyn Duber – Women's Track & Field
Junior | Harvard, Ill.
Junior Katelyn Duber turned in a standout performance for Carroll women's track & field last week, capturing a victory in the triple jump at Carroll's home outdoor meet.
Duber claimed first place with a top mark of 11.37 meters (37-3¾), earning 10 points for the Pioneers and outpacing the field in a competitive event. She recorded multiple strong jumps throughout the competition, consistently landing over 11 meters and sealing the win on her final attempt.
Her performance contributed significantly to Carroll's team success as the Pioneers returned to outdoor competition for the first time since the indoor conference and national championships, where the women Pioneers captured the meet. Duber's victory helped pace the women's team to a strong overall showing as the outdoor season got underway.
