(Kenosha, Wis.) - The Carroll University track and field program competed in the Tadd Metzger Invitational hosted by Carthage College. Both teams finished fifth in the five-team field.

Carthage won the women's title with a score of 193 followed by Wheaton College (160.50), Concordia University-WI (128), Aurora University (85.50) and Carroll (83).

The hosts also claimed the men's team title with 183 points, followed by Aurora (177), Wheaton (140), Concordia (79) and Carroll (72).

Alissa Elwing won the 200 meter race for the Pioneer women while the men's team won three events.

Grant Marton won the 800 meter run event while Kieran DeGroot claimed the 1-mile title. Carroll went 1-2-3 in the 200 meter dash, with Mitchel Janca leading Mikal Merriweather and Jesse Koenig, respectively.

Carroll returns to action on Feb. 6 at the University of Chicago Invitational.
