NEW ORLEANS – All-Academic Athletes for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Track & Field seasons were announced this week by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), with Carroll's Vanessa Uitenbroek, Maria Falk, and Cate Gudaitis earning that distinction.

The criteria of being named an NCAA Division-III All-Academic Student-Athlete includes compiling a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period. Graduate students must take all undergraduate plus graduate coursework into account. In order to be selected, an individual must have also finished the season among the top 50 individuals in an event and/or participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships.

A senior Exercise Science major from Kaukauna, Wis., Uitenbroek secured her third consecutive Outdoor All-American performance in that event this season, marking her fifth All-American performance across all events. A six-time All-Region performer, Uitenbroek scored 28 points at the 2024 CCIW Outdoor Track & Field Championships – winning both the discus and hammer, and placing second in the shot put – en route to being named CCIW Women's Field Athlete of the Meet.

A junior Nursing major from Oshkosh, Wis., Falk earned Second Team All-American honors in the Outdoor Shot Put this season, finishing 14th at NCAA Division-III Nationals, after entering the event ranked sixth in the nation. She also finished the year ranking 17th in the Outdoor Hammer Throw and 27th in the Outdoor Discus. Falk also was 11th in the Indoor Shot Put this year.

Gudaitis is a Graduate Student from Arlington Heights who is part of Carroll's Exercise Physiology. She also earned a trip to Nationals in 2024, doing the honors in the Outdoor Discus, as she entered the event ranked seventh in the nation. Gudaitis also ranked 32nd in the Indoor Shot Put this season.
